To initiate screen sharing from our district-issued device, it's necessary to ensure that both devices are connected to the "nisd-secure" network or are directly connected through a wired connection. For instance, you can hard-line your Flat Panel while having your laptop connected to the "nisd-secure" network, and this configuration will establish a functional screen-sharing connection.

Sharing personal devices on school computer screens are prohibited.

Data Privacy:  Personal devices may contain sensitive personal information, such as emails,           documents, photos, and browsing history. Sharing these screens could inadvertently expose private    data to others, including students and colleagues.

  1. Security Risks: Personal devices might not have the same level of security as school-owned devices. Sharing screens could expose personal devices to potential security threats, malware, or unauthorized access.

  2. Sensitive Content: There's a possibility that personal devices could display content that is not appropriate for the school environment. This could be embarrassing or disruptive if accidentally shared with students or colleagues.

  3. Distractions: Personal notifications, messages, or alerts could pop up during a presentation, causing distractions and disrupting the flow of the lesson.

  4. Misuse: Students or others might gain unauthorized access to the personal device during or after the sharing session, leading to potential misuse or data breaches.

If teachers need to share their screens for educational purposes, they must use school-owned devices that are properly secured and managed by the IT department.
